Wine & Cheese Fest will return to The Timber Yard in Port Melbourne on Saturday 1st March to give Melburnians the opportunity to taste and buy the best wines, cheeses and artisan produce! Along with meeting the producers, there’s free tastings, masterclasses and entertainment.

With over 50 exhibitors, the 12th edition of the Wine & Cheese Fest, showcases the very best from around Victoria and beyond such as Boatshed Cheese, Milawa Cheese Company, That’s Amore Cheese, Witchmount Estate, Santolin Wines and Rob Dolan.

Everyone should wear their stretchy pants as there are unlimited free tastings as well as a huge selection of eateries to choose from including Frencheese, That Arancini Guy, La Santa Muerte (Mexican Cantina) and many more. Of course, it will be too irresistible for everyone not to support Aussie businesses by buying bag-full of produce to take home!

Attendees can also make the most of learning from the producers and wine makers with the free masterclasses that can turn wine and cheese lovers into aficionados. While the program will be announced closer to the event, the classes will include wine making, wine & cheese pairing and cheese making demonstrations.

For a fun winemaking experience, there’s the famous Wine & Cheese Fest Grape Stomp Competition between 3pm and 4pm in the under-covered outdoor area. Expressions of interest are open now, so those interested in taking part (it’s free to get involved and there’s prizes to be won) should contact us ..... And, for those not actually stomping, it is a great watch!

All day entertainment will include live music, DJs and roving artists, the perfect accompaniment to relaxing with a glass of wine in hand and a delicious cheese dish.

There are two mouthwatering sessions available, early and late afternoon, and all tickets include tastings, masterclasses, a tote bag and a glass.

Tickets are on sale now including General Admission and Total Wine Indulgence (which also includes three glasses of wine to enjoy at the W&CF bar and a bottle of boutique wine valued $30 to take home Additionally, there’s the ultimate VIP experience, which includes all-day admission, access to the exclusive VIP room upstairs, and a VIP Masterclass at 2pm titled '100 Years of Wines.' In this session, guests will sample rare Museum wines selected by Mount Avoca’s sommelier from their private cellar, expertly paired with a selection of cheeses from featured vendors.
