A welcome change to the cafe scene in the lovely town of Mornington is Main Street Kebabs where the owner, Sadik and his family are developing a great local reputation for their authentic Turkish Kebabs and succulent meals.
If you enjoy classically inspired Turkish fare then this is certainly a cafe worth travelling the extra mile for. Locals flock here at the weekends, giving the cafe a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
It's dine in or takeaway and from the moment you walk in, the typically friendly Turkish hospitality exudes. Small number of seats inside but outdoor seating is also available if preferred
All of the dishes are made to order, right in front of you and with the freshest ingredients. As you would expect, the menu includes all your favourite doner kebabs, chicken, lamb, mixed or even the Falafel for the vegetarian preference. Grilled Shish kebab accompanied by spicy flavoured dips and salads.
Delicious Pide in 5 choices of flavour and not forgetting, to finish with, a nice selection of Turkish cakes and desserts. We tried the baklava and it was delicious, not too sweet but oh, so 'more-ish'.
