Shopping Mall
This is another shopping complex owned by the international giants, Westfield. Formerly the Doncaster Shopping town, this was the first site bought by Westfield in Victoria. Following an extensive regeneration between 2007 and 2008, it is now an impressive modern complex, but still situated on the junction between Doncaster and Williamson road intersection. Although it is slightly out of town it is still only a twenty-minute drive to the downtown centre of Melbourne.
It is now home to 400 stores, which vary in size from the most popular and major department stores to smaller and less well-known individual brands. It has all the usual Australian department stores such as Coles and Kmart. At the end of 2012 this meant opening a Zara store, one of the first of its kind in the whole of Australia and still only one of seven.
It also has a restaurant and cinema complex for visitors who are feeling the strain of a long day in the shops. The Drum Food Court includes lots of cafes for a quick bite or coffee, Thai, International, Chinese, Indian, T.G.I Fridays, Nandos and a Pizza Hut. There are many more choices on offer.
