Cinema & Drive-In
Recalling the times of the 1950s drive and dine culture in America, Dromana Drive-In - itself established since 1962 - gives cinemagoers a chance to swap air-conditioned multiplexes for a unique outdoor viewing experience, all from the comfort of your own vehicle.
With three giant screens surrounding the viewing area, it isn't difficult to find the most comfortable vantage point that suits you. After settling in, fire up the FM car stereo or the portable radio provided by the drive-in to tune in to the film - after 40 years of tough service, the original speakers have finally given up!
Aside from the films being shown, Shel's Diner, modelled on the authentic American diner of the same era, is also a must-see. There is plenty of movie memorabilia to look over, not to mention the traditional black and white floor tiles, 'back seat' bench seats, jukebox and pinball machine, and you can expect all the classics when it comes to food and drink.
