Water Activities
Located on St Kilda West beach, the team at The ZU Boardsports will bring you close to the action if you've wanted to try out kiteboarding, windsurfing, stand up paddle or even skate boarding.
The ZU Boardsports specialises in providing lessons for everyone, from the beginner through to the most experienced water sport activist. Why not try out that sport activity you've always wanted to give a go?. All the equipment is available and more besides.
The Zu Boardsports have long been established on scenic St Kilda's beach as one of the best places to head to for trying your hand at water sports.
They offer a range of activities; from kite boarding and windsurfing to SUP (that's Stand Up Paddling to you and me) and even skateboarding. If you're experienced, that's great; but don't feel worried if you're completely new to all of this, The Zu are very experienced in helping you to feel comfortable in the water and will ease you in gently!
They also run a well-stocked shop, so any existing enthusiasts might find themselves struggling to resist making a purchase, and for those taking part in lessons, there is the welcome offer of outdoor showers and change facilities to clean up after a few hours riding the waves.
If you are a bit of an adrenaline junkie and are seeking a bit of high-octane activity in Melbourne; head on over to The Zu and meet a whole team of like-minded spirits!
ZU is owned and managed by Ivan Salmon and Paul Nederhoed, who have over 30 years experience in kite surfing, windsurfing and stand up paddle surfing. They also work side by side with some of the world's leading brands to bring you everything you need.
There is also a test track for skating activities, with ZU specialising in longboards, scooters and accessories.
You can also book a trip to other destinations, which are famed for water sports, through The Zu, including Bali, Aitutaki and Fiji.
